The emphasis in this community garden is that it shoud be a natural area based on sustainable and enviromental principles. For the community as a whole this garden should contain fruit and vegetable growing areas, as well as a selection of colourful all year interest shrubs, perennials and sensory plants. The children's play area already has reasonable shade from the sun.

It should include areas for play, relaxation, and learning, with opportunities for growing fruit and vegetables, and planting that offers colour and interest all year round.”
The adult area is very open and would greatly benefit from a large arbour or open sided wooden pavillion. Apart from giving shelter in bad weather, this pavillion would also act as an outdoor learning area for the children. The children's area should contain a wooden activity unit with as much natural planting as possible.
